this is my adult face. i like to use this when i think someone is being kinda funny, but not really. it's my "you are working really hard on the whole funny thing, but you actually aren't that funny." i think my mom does a similar face, but she has a fake laugh that goes along with it :)

Her expression also conveys a certain sadness that you are trying so hard to be funny but aren't. Like: what a shame.
