i knew something was up when it was still dark out and the shower was going...i decided to play it cool until i had a better idea of what was going on. when mom came in to kiss me good-bye, i had a sneaky suspicion that something was up. she quietly tiptoed out, but that didn't stop me from exercising my lungs and letting out a big cry. dad came in and brought me to bed, but once i realized mom was gone, i never really settled back down.
[enter mom] i had my first business trip to california and it was definitely bittersweet. i was excited to meet my new team, but leaving olivia was really hard. luckily i only went for the day (6am flight down and then caught the 6pm flight back) and i traveled with my pump in tow. however, the day trips are brutal! by the time i got home, i was so exhausted. luckily, olivia stirred when i got back and we had a major cuddle. it was the perfect end to an otherwise tough day!
