i kinda feel like the car seat is getting a bit small. i love that i get all bundled up, but it is starting to cramp my style a bit. and since i am hot blooded, i tend to sweat a lot. i know mom and dad just want me to be warm, but the 6 blankets and the fleece cocoon is a bit over the top.
[enter mom] yes, it saddens me to think we may need to go with the big kid car seat soon. olivia is getting to long for the detachable car seat.
and she definitely runs hot. we have stopped putting hats on her because she sweat so much.

sassy yellow cords = mom jeans
mom bought me these pants. they are kind of a funny fit. when they arrived, mom got very excited and put them on me immediately. however, they not only have an 8 inch zipper, they have tapered legs. i guess their cool, but i hope my ankles don't lose circulation!

big time eater (in my preppy bib)
i love food. yes, that's right. i have been eating avocado, rice cereal, carrots and sweet potatoes. and i have a wide range of bibs. this is my preppy bib. aunt meghan in kentucky sent this to me. it looks nice and clean right now, but after a meal, it has as much food on it as my face.
[enter mom] she does love food. however, last night we discovered that she is no longer a huge fan of the avocado. she seems to like carrots though. and she is starting to move the bumbo around the world. we are not thrilled about this...yesterday, mike went to grab something from the kitchen and she had scooted the bumbo away from her piano and her bib and socks were across the room.

g-ma and grumpus gave me this piano for christmas and i LOVE it. i used to just sit and watch how things worked. now, i like to bang on the keys. mom and dad said they swore they heard a melody in my music, but i think they were just being nice.

i like it when aunt gina holds me. she bounces around and i find it very soothing. she is always saying how light i am. i am feeling a bit serious in this photo. then again, i am always serious!
me and the big stuffed bunny
Nini sent me a big stuffed bunny for easter. i love it! it is much bigger than i am and i like to grab its ears and put them in my mouth. easter is fun....
me and the aquarium
i went to the aquarium with mom, dad, uncle peter and aunt chloe. it was a lot of fun. there was so much to look at and dad was very knowledgable about the different fish and plants. my favorite was the river otter. they are so cute!
after the aquarium, we went to elliot's oyster house. i got to sit in the booth between mom and dad. i felt like an adult.

Snowshoe trip part II
Mom and dad love taking me in the snow. This time around we went to Salmon Le Sac., It was really nice, but there were a lot of loud noises which kinda freaked me out. We also did an overnight in a cabin in Roslyn. I got to sleep in a double bed all by myself.
[enter mom] Snowshoeing is a fabulous way to take the babe outdoors in the cold and get out into the wilderness. Unforunately, salmon le sac has a lot of snowmobilers which totally sucks.
the cabin was lovely. would probably stay there again.

Easter Card
Last week at day care we made cards for our parents. Mom and dad were pretty surprised and did lots of cooing when they opened it. Like the card says - I think that one is a lasting memory.

mom's first business trip
i knew something was up when it was still dark out and the shower was going...i decided to play it cool until i had a better idea of what was going on. when mom came in to kiss me good-bye, i had a sneaky suspicion that something was up. she quietly tiptoed out, but that didn't stop me from exercising my lungs and letting out a big cry. dad came in and brought me to bed, but once i realized mom was gone, i never really settled back down.
[enter mom] i had my first business trip to california and it was definitely bittersweet. i was excited to meet my new team, but leaving olivia was really hard. luckily i only went for the day (6am flight down and then caught the 6pm flight back) and i traveled with my pump in tow. however, the day trips are brutal! by the time i got home, i was so exhausted. luckily, olivia stirred when i got back and we had a major cuddle. it was the perfect end to an otherwise tough day!

i eat feet (and mom gets into her jeans)
yes, that's right. i eat feet. i have been fascinated with my feet for a couple of months now and just last night, i thought it would be a good idea to stick my toes in my mouth. then i tried the heel...i think i prefer the toes. they tickle my cheeks and that makes me laugh. i could hear mom saying she could eat her feet as well. sounds like a photoshoot is in order.
[enter mom] olivia's fascination with her feet has been going on for a long time, but to have her suck on them was breaking new ground. she did it while she was in the bath so at least we can confirm that they were somewhat clean.
in other news....i got into my pre-pregnancy jeans. this is a MAJOR achievement. i have been trying to get those jeans on for about 3 months. today, with a fresh perspective since olivia finally slept through the night, i thought i would give them a try. not only did they slide on with some ease, the button latched without too much drama. there is slight muffin top happening but it is not visible unless you are planning on rubbing my waistline. sure, having pneumonia was absolute hell, but it did help me shave off those extra centimeters. it's a really good feeing to look in the mirror and see the start of a pre-pregnancy butt.
i can also chalk up the slight weight change to our new routine. after work, olivia and i crank up the stereo and dance until dad comes home. and this morning, we started the same ritual. today we rocked out to some "jive talking" by the bee gees.
