Busy, Busy

Wow, Mom really packs our days with things to do. We've been to the u-district where we went shoe shopping and got a falafel. There were lots of people around, but I only opened my eyes for a bit to check the scene before falling back to sleep. I decided to play it cool in my stroller the whole time. We also went to Pharmica and a really bad shoe store that was WAY too warm and a woman kept gettin' up in my grill which was a little annoying.

Yesterday we went to our first mom and baby yoga class. Again, I laid low in my car seat. It was so warm in the studio, but it was a little annoying to hear the crying sounds (enter mom: i think i am projecting here). Do I sound that bad? I don't know if mom will take us back again. After class we went to Aunt Kate's house. I managed to open my eyes a bit while they were talking, but I think I was tired from not having a feed for almost 4 hours. Mom can get a little crazy sometimes.

Oh, and I went over to Roger, Gina and Lincoln's house. I had heard a lot about Lincoln from my parents but had not met him yet. He has amazing eyelashes. And I could hear my mom doing a lot of cooing and it wasn't directed at me. Oh well, can't have it all the time, I suppose.

[enter mom] I must say, I am really enjoying exploring the town with Olivia. I try and explore a different place each week. Helps me get more confidence with traveling about with her and dealing with the whole car seat/stroller transition or moving her from the car seat to a sling/moby etc...We have yet to feed outside the comfort of our home. I hope to do it soon though. I think once I break the ice, then it won't seem so daunting.

I like the concept up mom/baby yoga, but I am not sure it is for me. Yoga is my only real "me" time and to share it with other crying babies felt a bit off. I had a hard time concentrating and fully relaxing. I think I would prefer to do the mom/baby poses at home and stick to my 3 day per week practice at Samadhi. That way, I get a break from the babe and come back refreshed.

And it was fabulous to finally meet Lincoln. R+G have done a great job of making the living room feel very peaceful so the baby can sleep. It was nice to see our babies hanging out, even if they have no idea that the other exists.

I had a nice snack in the parking lot of Southcenter mall a couple days ago. A little chilly perhaps, but the milk, as always, was excellent.

Pleasure meeting you as well, Olivia. you are hawt.
